We get asked a lot about what detector is the best. What detector is the best bargain? What detector will find me the most treasures. We're going to answer your questions in this article.
We've been reading reviews that are currently online. For the life of us we can't figure out what qualifies the people writing the articles about the best detectors for 2025. None of the authors appear to even metal detect and if they do they are misleading people in a bad way. The detectors they say to buy are ridiculous. We may be a little too hard on them but do yourself a favor and make your choice based on information from a dealer that has been in business for 12 years and been detecting for 15 years.
BEST BANG FOR THE BUCK - MINELAB EQUINOX 800. At only $799 the 800 is a great bargain. The 800 started the Multi-IQ phenomenon. For the last 5 years it's been the BEST SELLING metal detector in the world. It's responsible for detectorists finding more treasures than they ever did with any other detector. That includes us.
